molybdenum disulfide (MOS2) adds improved mechanical and thermal properties. 

 

Extra lubricity is achieved with the addition of finely divided particles of molybdenum disulfide solid lubricants permitting these parts to operate with little or no lubrication. Nylon MD is especially suited for applications

where lubrication is impractical, contaminating, or difficult to maintain.

 

In addition to the advantages offered by Nylon MD non-galling and non-scratching characteristics, sound damping qualities, insulating properties, resistance oils, greases, most alkalis, solvents, and organic acids.
