Moly Disulfide.

 

Nylon Moly Disulfide contains finely divided particles of molybdenum disulphide 

(MoS2) to enhance its load bearing capabilities while maintaining the impact 

resistance inherent to nylon. It a popular choice as a dry lubricant-filled bearing 

material. Manufactured to be a more crystalline product with improved wear

resistance, Cast Nylon MD also offers improved compressive strength It is the 

most used grades for gears, sheaves, bushings, sprockets, and custom parts. Nylatron® GSM is often called Nylon MD or Nylon Mos2. Nylon MD is a black or grey black color.

 

Nylon MD material is the most widely used nylon for spur gears. Nylon gears reduce

noise, lighter weight, self lubricated and less wear on the opposing gear or gears.
