PTFE exhibit excellent chemical resistance. PTFE is a self-lubricating material that provides a low friction coefficient. PTFE is ideally suited for the manufacture of corrosion-resistant gaskets & seals. PTFE stands for

PolyTetraFluoroEthylene, it is a fluorocarbon-based polymer. The Teflon® brand of PTFE is resin manufactured only by DuPont. Mechanical Grade PTFE is made from recycled PTFE. Mechanical Grade PTFE is supplied without warrantee or any gauranties regarding minimal properties. Mechanical Grade PTFE is NOT for high-purity applications. Mechanical Grade PTFE has lower compressive and tensile strength than Virgin PTFE.
