CIP121 Composite is commonly used in general industrial applications, wet or dry, where high shock or edge loading is anticipated. 100% polyester material (textile and resin) with the solid lubricants molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) evenly dispersed throughout the resin system.

• Low coefficient of friction

• High edge and shock load capabilities

• Excellent mechanical strength

• Low thermal expansion

• Negligible water swell 

• Anisotropic Properties - Will Vary When Comparing Values Normal or Parallel to Laminate

• Compressive Strength, Breaking – ASTM D695 - Normal to Laminate = 50,000 PSI

• Compressive Strength, Breaking – ASTM D695 - Parallel to Laminate = 13,500 PSI

• CLTE Will Also Vary Based on Laminate Orientation

 

LIMITATIONS

Not Intended for High Speed Bearing Applications, CIP121 is ideal for High Load & Slow Rotating Speed
