CIP353A Composite material has dimensional stability in high temperatures (up to 400° F) and offers excellent chemical resistance. Manufactured with meta-aramid textile and a high temperature vinyl ester resin with solid lubrication additives PTFE and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) evenly dispersed throughout the resin.

• Excellent mechanical strength

• High edge and shock load capabilities

• Negligible water swell 

• Anisotropic Properties - Will Vary When Comparing Values Normal or Parallel to Laminate

• Compressive Strength, Breaking – ASTM D695 - Normal to Laminate = 50,000 PSI

• Compressive Strength, Breaking – ASTM D695 - Parallel to Laminate = 13,500 PSI

• CLTE Will Also Vary Based on Laminate Orientation 

 

Limitations

• Not Intended for High Speed Bearing Applications, Ideal for High Load & Slow Rotating Speed
