High Temp G11 / FR5 Laminate Sheet is a glass fabric reinforcement in a high temperature epoxy resin binder. The natural color is typically yellow-green-tan blend. This grade is similar to G10/FR4 but has a higher operating temperature, high strength, low moisture absorption, excellent electrical properties, chemical resistance and superior mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. It maintains good properties at both dry and humid conditions. The main difference between NEMA Grades G11 and FR5 is that FR5 is a fire retardant grade of G11. Therefore, FR5 can be safely substituted when G11 is called for while G11 can never be substituted where FR5 is called for. It certifies to NEMA FR5 and MIL-I-24768/28 GEB-F..
