Lexan® Abrasion Resistant - Polycarbonate Fabrication

Lexan® Abrasion Resistant material is know as MR10, MarGard® or Mar-Resistant. MR10 polycarbonate sheet has a proprietary hard surface coating, on two sides. Lexan® MR10 hard surface coating provides a resistance to surface abrasion and weathering. Lexan® MR10 material will scratch! Lexan® MR10 is more Mar-Resistant than scratch resistant. Complies with major model buidling codes and has Dade County-Approval. 

 

Fabricating 

Lexan® MR10 is suited for flat applications.  Bending or forming Lexan® MR10 will disrupt the silicone based hard coating and cause the coating to delaminate or flake. 

 

Makrolon® AR2 & Palgard® AR polycarbonates are an equal/competitive product to Lexan® MR10 MarGard®.
