ETFE Tefzel® (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene)

Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, ETFE, a fluorine based plastic, was designed to have high

corrosion resistance and strength over a wide temperature range. ETFE is a polymer and its

source-based name is (polyethene-co-tetrafluoroethene). ETFE has a relatively high melting

temperature, excellent chemical, electrical and high energy radiation resistance properties.

Tefzel® ETFE offers high purity, good permeability resistance, and excellent abrasion

resistance over a temperature range of -300°F to +300°F (-185°C to +150°C). When burned

ETFE releases hydrofluoric acid.

Rod 1/8” to 2-1/2” diameter

Sheet thickness from 1/16”  to 3/4”.
