rolls to provide a covering having theunique properties of FEP. A brief application of heat molds the cover snugly around the roller,forming a skin-tight, high strength, impregnable jacket impervious to corrosive chemicals. solvents, acids, shock, abrasion & wear, high tempertures, and moisture. ROLLER PREPARATION

The roller surface to be covered should be smooth, clean, and dry. Turned and grinded rollers surfaces should be free of foreign materials such as oil, loose scale, grit & dirt, product build up, etc..must be removed. To best accomplish cleaning use non-oil base solvent such as acetone or toluene. After cleaning slip the FEP roll tube onto the roller carefully to avoid nicks, creases, or scratches. Trim FEP tube to length, leave minimum of two inches on both ends of the roller.

 

A heat source is required to shrink the tubing onto the roll to be covered. Use a commerical hot air gun capable of delivering temperatures between 500F and 1100F. Two heat guns are recommended to ensure a smooth and uniform covering without wrinkling. Rotate the roller and the tube at uniform speed for best results.
