NYLON MD OIL-FILLED BLUE

 

B.I.R.S. Machine & Supply is a distributor of Nylon MD Oil-Filled Blue sheet, rod, disk, rings and tube.

 

Nylon MD Oil-Filled Blue has built-in oil lubrication with molybdenum disulphide particles. This material is designed for slightly higher load capabilities. Nylon MD Oil-Filled Blue excels in higher pressures, and at low speeds-up to 40 fpm. Nylon MD Oil-Filled offers 20% lower coefficient of friction, 50% greater limiting PV, and a lower "k" factor than Nylon MD MoS2 material, making it ideal for slide pads, thrust washers and trunion bearings. Nylon MD Oil-Filled Blue PA6 should be considered for any oil-filled nylon application. It is dark blue in color. 

 

NOTE: Nylons can absorb up to 7% (by weight) water under high humidity or submerged in water. This can result in dimensional changes up to 2% and a corresponding reduction of physical properties. Proper design techniques can frequently compensate for this factor.
