Polyamide-imide (PAI) is the highest performance melt processable thermoplastic available. It can be extruded into shapes for machining and injection molded into intricate molded parts.
PAI Torlon has a 530°F/278°C heat distortion temperature and a 500°F/260°C continuous service temperature, Torlon PAI offers unmatched strength at elevated temperatures. PAI Torlon is stronger at 400°F/204°C than most engineering plastics are at room temperature. Torlon PAI is also extremely tough and impact resistant at cryogenic temperatures.
