MYLAR® A FILM (Milky White)

Mylar® A is an electrical grade. Mylar it is a general-purpose film that is

resistant to moisture, chemicals and extreme temperatures. Mylar® A

material is made without plasticizers, which means it will not become

brittle with normal use. Mylar® A is milky white translucent frosted

polyester film. Mylar® A is flexible, tough, and heat resistant, with

excellent insulating characteristics (Electrical Grade). Mylar® A is suitable for a wide variety of applications, and is also safe for contact with food. This film is transparent up to 92 gauge, but translucent in heavier gauges. Mylar® film is available in two standard types, Mylar® A and Mylar® D. 

 

FEATURES

• Resists moisture and chemicals, except alcohol

• Resists extreme temperatures ( -100°F to 300ºF)

• Free of plasticizers

• Easy to handle and process, with good adhesion

• Meets UL 94 VTM-2 standard – for 92-1400 gauge (0.023 – 0.35mm)

• UL Recognized – for 92-500 gauge (0.023-0.13mm) HWI=5,
