PEEK 300 CARBON-REINFORCE

WR®300 is a carbon-fiber-reinforced compression molded PEEK often selected by pump manufacturers and users for pump bushings and case or impeller wear rings. Maximum service life is achieved in clean, lubricated, and/or damp/humid environments.

 

PEEK WR®300 meets the nonmetallic wear part material description of the API 610 specification, ninth edition. WR®300 provides enhanced strength, stability, and heat dissipation properties beyond other thermoplastic compounds due to its use of a long carbon-fiber fill. PEEK WR®300’s low coefficient of friction and thermal expansion characteristics make it ideal for bushings, bearings, and wear rings in centrifugal pump designs. PEEK WR®300 has excellent heat dissipation properties and chemical resistance as well as non-galling and non-seizing properties; it excels in boiler feed, condensate, cooling tower, propane, butane, butadiene and other low specific gravity media with poor lubricating properties. These features enable the pump user to increase pump efficiency by running tighter wear ring clearances while decreasing potential pump damage when pumps are cavitated or experience down-line bearing failures.

LIMITATIONS

PEEK WR®300 should not be used in abrasive media or press-in applications above 275F (135C) temperatures.
