PTFE 5% GLASS-FILLED

 

B.I.R.S. Machine & Supply is a distributor of PTFE 5% glass-filled sheet, rod, tube or cylinders.

 

Glass fibers have the least effect on chemical and electrical properties and add greatly to the mechanical properties of unfilled PTFE.  Adding glass fibers to PTFE improves compressive properties by as much as 

40% and improves creep and wear resistance to standard PTFE. These properties are improved with the addition of a glass filler. This filler improves dimensional stability, raises the heat deflection temperature 

and improves creep resistance. Glass fiber compounds resist acids and oxidation but can be attacked by alkali.
